Question about Ales and other drunkard beverages - Guild Wars Forums

I know there have been a couple of threads about the drunkard title, but I would just like a few things cleared up. I bought 11 ales last night to try futher my drinking cause, however, after drinking the initial 3 to me "drunk", i clocked only 1 minute when the effects seem to go away, i drank another just at about 2 and half minute mark, nothing happened. And I only gained 1 minute extra for my 4 ales!!

So whats the deal? Is it definately 3 to get started, and then 3 minutes from consuming the last one before consuming the next? and should it be an extra 3 minutes a go, or 1 per ale?

I tried the zoning trick too, but that definately didnt work for me, after getting the initial drunkard thing going, and trying to zone, consume, zone again, no extra minutes were added.. can anyone confirm whether this still works?

Ales are quite pricey, so before i continue it would be nice to know exactly what the details are

cheapest way: 5 ale to start, then after 3 minutes 3 ale, rinse and repeat the second part.

fastest way: zoning, but it costs much more and not always works.

so its 5 ales to start, and not 3? guess thats my first mistake.. has anyone got some good zoning areas they know work?

I've tried the zoning. You know, you drink 5, go to hall, drink 5, leave hall, it works about half the time. But, sometimes, if you just stand still for about 30 seconds, then move, you'll get the full effect of both. But, sometimes it gets screwed up. I drink about 20 eggnogs, spiked eggnongs, 40 ale, & about 10 rice wine doing that trick. Then, when I tried to trade my brother a knife, my screen went permanent black & white.

so 3 gets me to 1 min - drink another
2 min - drink another
3 min - drink another

so on....
